Terms of Service

1. Who we are

AI Startup Insights is a product of Parallax Index Co., an independent company based in Austin, Texas. These terms cover your use of our website, dashboard, API, emails, and any data we provide.

2. Your account

Accounts are for individual humans. One person, one login. You can't share credentials across a team. If you want multiple seats, the Team plan exists for that. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so keep the password sensible.

3. What we provide

We aggregate public information about AI companies and synthesize it into structured records. We do our best to be accurate. We don't guarantee that every signal is correct, current, or complete. If you spot something wrong, tell us through the contact form and we'll fix it quickly.

4. What you can do with the data

You can read it, cite it, use it in internal decisions, and build on it inside your organization. You can share summaries with colleagues. You can quote specific signals with a link back to us. You can't republish the full dataset, resell it, or use it to train a competing product.

5. Billing and cancellation

Monthly plans bill every month on the date you started. Annual plans bill once a year. Cancel anytime from the dashboard, your access continues until the end of the current period. We don't do refunds for partial months, but if something goes sideways write to us and we'll be reasonable.

6. Things that will get you banned

Scraping the dashboard at scale. Sharing your login. Reselling the API. Trying to get around rate limits. Using the product to harass a company we track. We'll cut off the account and refund any unused credit.

7. Third-party sources

Our data layer depends on public filings, job boards, press releases, GitHub, and similar. We don't control those sources. If a source goes away or changes its terms, coverage in that area may change too.

8. Liability

We aren't a regulated financial or legal information service. Nothing on this site is investment advice. Make your own decisions. We're not liable for actions you take based on our data, beyond refunding what you paid us in the last twelve months.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a change that matters, we'll email active subscribers with at least 30 days notice before it takes effect. You can cancel before the change takes effect and we'll refund the unused portion of the period.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Disputes go through the courts in Travis County, Texas, unless we agree on arbitration in writing.
